One curricular element integral to Water Quality Indiana (WQI) is the “confluence trip,” where faculty and students locate, travel to, and document junctures downstream where waterways and/or rivers of interest meet, which is called a confluence. The multimedia available here depict the confluence where the East White River merges with the West White River, which flows through Muncie, Anderson, and Indianapolis. Many never see waterways as they exist downstream from them, which is the broader goal of WQI: to demonstrate that water connects us.
