 WABASH & OHIO RIVERS
INFORMATION

One curricular element integral to Water Quality Indiana (WQI) is the “confluence trip,” where faculty and students locate, travel to, and document junctures downstream where waterways and/or rivers of interest meet, which is called a confluence.  The multimedia available here depict the confluence where the Wabash River merges with the Ohio River, which flows 981 miles from Pennsylvania to Illinois and is a source of drinking water for more than 3 million people.  Many never see waterways as they exist downstream from them, which is the broader goal of WQI: to demonstrate that water connects us.
